Our benefit at All Stars Sports Bar and Grill was a success! We had a big turnout, lots of fun and a grand ole time! We raised some money, too! We would like to express a special thank you to Curt and Melissa McWilliams, Marcus Gibson, James and Debbie Drury, John and Betty Cooper, Roy and Trish Moffitt and family, Steve Skidmore, Mark May and the Agitators, Buddy Manchac with the Trailer Trash Band featuring Tony Hill, Angels & Outlaws Cook team, and all the many members and volunteers that came to help and to show their support. Thank you to Cox Radio, and to Eddie Harper and Chaquita Taylor for their coverage of the event. We could not have been successful without the many gracious donations received from all around our community. Thank you to each and every one of you that donated to this cause. Please see photos and hear some of the event at this link…

The event was a huge success. We certainly enjoyed the hospitality from all the folks at Houston Roller Derby. TES was presented with a donation check from the group and we raised some additional monies while recruiting new members in the lobby. We look forward to attending many more of these exciting shows in the future.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association helps a TES member, let’s give back…
Jason Sullivan, the son of TES member Melissa Sullivan is a victim of the crippling disease, Muscular Dystrophy. The Muscular Dystrophy Association has been a big help to Jason and Melissa by providing multiple types of care, treatment and medication. So, to show our appreciation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, we are asking that TES volunteers step up to help collect donations at various locations throughout Houston on Saturday - June 28, 2008. Then on Labor Day, Tim Miller, Melissa Sullivan and all of the volunteers that collected the money will present it to MDA (in Jason’s name) during KPRC Channel 2 MDA telethon. Alternate dates will be set in case of a search or bad weather. We’re sure Jason would help too, but unfortunately, he is not physically able to. If you want to participate in this gesture of compassion, contact Frank Black @ (713) 301-6813.

Saturday, April 5, 2008 – Zack’s Bar and Grill, Huntsville, Texas on 75N. 2:30 p.m. – Please join TES members and friends and family of Chad Ryman for a celebration of his life. There will be a crawfish boil.

12/18/2007 - Cheryl and Rain with TES, and the help of Hal Newsom and his air boat, made it possible for Sheryl and Robert Sawyers, grandmother and father of Riley Ann Sawyers, to step onto the island to visit the cross that was placed near where her little body was found. In a circle of prayer, we held hands and prayed for strength, peace and comfort for this family in their days ahead of grief and sorrow. It was an honor to be able to grant their request to make this trip. We wish to extend a special thank you to Hal Newsom for making this happen.

PICT0045Tim Miller and all of our members wish to extend a huge thank you to Jim and Debbie Drury of Market Doctors in Dickinson for their kind and generous offer to loan this beautiful motorhome to be used on searches. These are very special people. Mr. Drury displays a true and genuine spirit of giving and helping others. He simply said one day, “It’s yours to use as you wish”. It’s truly heartwarming to be given such an opportunity. Utilizing the motorhome as a command center as well, we save valuable time by not having to spend hours looking for a suitable and available location. This also saves fuel, lodging, and we are able to prepare meals and take them which will save an enormous amount of expenses. Jim and Debbie, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your generosity, and your desire to “pay it forward” to help the families of lost or missing loved ones and to help all of us that search for them. God Bless You!

News story covering the tragic accident ..

Danielle Hooks A big congratulations to the proud new owners of a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle from Stubbs Harley Davidson in Houston. David and Lisa Mejorado purchased the one lucky ticket for a raffle that was held at our 3rd Annual Mission For the Missing Hogs and Horses Fundraiser that was held on Saturday, May 19, 2007. David is already an avid fan of bikes and rides as a motorcycle officer for a local law enforcement agency and participates in mounted patrol for them as well. David seems to have had an awesome streak of luck lately and attributes that to his lifestyle and his constant willingness and desire to help others and give back what he can. His message to his fellow officers and coworkers was… “I told you so, if you live a good and honest life, good things will come back to you”. He may have mentioned a “Ha Ha” in there as well. Although there are a lot of people envious of their lucky win, we all are so very happy for you and wish you all the best. Safe riding and have fun!!!!! P.S. Tell the boys if they don’t stop polishing on it, there won’t be any chrome left!!!
